What We DoMESE Training and Consulting LLC works with families (parents, foster parents), organizations (schools, social services, juvenile services, hospitals, housing), and professionals (CASA workers, social workers, teachers, direct care, supervisors, managers), to give them the tools they need to help survivors of trauma.
We can help you or your organization to better understand, recognize, and respond to the effects of all types of trauma - with an emphasis on physical, psychological, and emotional safety for both consumers and providers. We can provide one-on-one trainings, workshops for small or large groups, or individualized consulting for your specific needs. We pride ourselves on setting up our partners for success. In delivering skills and competencies with an outcome that focus on the participants and organizations leaving our sessions more thoughtful and prepared to integrate, infuse and use the new skills and considerations with your partners, talent and workforce in providing internal and external stakeholders with the information they need and the tools they seek to make them applicable and practical to those you serve. We are based in Baltimore, Maryland but are happy to travel for trainings. |

meet Our Team
Monte EphraimLCSW-C, CCTPMonte Ephraim is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She has grown up professionally in human service, from Child Welfare and Non-Profits to Geriatrics. She has been in the field for over 35 years. Monte is also listed as an experienced trainer in the Child Welfare Trauma Training Toolkit (CWTTT) on the National Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). Monte's experience and training span from trauma to disabilities, leadership, and organizational culture. MESE Training and Consulting LLC has been training and working with organizations and teams in skill development and building on competencies and care in a sustainable way from framework to implementation since 2009.

Shawn ElbertRCYCPShawn Elbert is a Trainer, Coach, RCYCP, Residential Certified Youth Care Practitioner. He has been in the human service field for 30 years. In addition to training, Shawn has been a Director of Program Supports for residential programming in child welfare and education. He has 25 years of experience as a trainer, teaching behavioral management systems including as a certified trainer in TCI, Therapuetic Crisis Intervention and Intervention, trauma informed care, team building, supervision, trauma informed communication and more. Shawn has trained from the classroom to the board room. He is part of a team that has trained educators, providers, direct care, management and organizations .

Jody NusholtzPhDJody Nusholtz holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies, an MA in Creative Writing, and has
taught full-time since 1990. She is passionate about classroom teaching, and applies skills gained as a certified Life Coach with expertise in but not limited to the Myers- Briggs Personality, Biofeedback/Autogenics, and Leadership development. Dr. Nusholtz is also certified by The Center for Mind-Body Medicine. She has always integrated mind-body skills into her teaching and works, teaches these skills in all settings, from trauma to healing, organizations, classrooms, and leadership. |
